Fresh curry leaves | Green chilli | 1 Amla | Roasted gram dal |
Ginger, Garlic cloves | Onion, Half lemon | Turmeric powder | Black pepper powder |
Cumin seed powder | Dry mango powder | Fresh coriander | Salt |
Preparation
Filling
Take a frying pan heat 2 TBSP desi ghee(any wood-pressed oil), and add these ingredients to it.
- Cumin Seeds: 1 TBSP
- Ginger(chopped): 1/4 inch
- Green Chilli(chopped): 1
- Saute them for 1 minute and add other ingredients.
- Sprouted Moong Dal
- Salt to taste
- Cover it with a lid for 1-2 minutes and add some spices
- Turmeric powder: 1/4 TBSP
- Kashmiri Chilli powder: 1/2 TBSP
- Garam Masala: 1/2 TBSP
- Dry Mango powder(amchur powder): 1/3 TBSP
- Cook them for a minute and mix them well
- Now add 2 medium size boiled potatoes (a good source of resistant starch which is beneficial in weight loss)
- Squeeze a half lemon, and add fresh coriander to it.
our filling is ready now allow them to cool. then we will prepare green chutney(sauce)
Green Chutney(sauce) recipe
Take a blender Jar, and add these ingredients to it.
- A couple of Fresh curry leaves
- Amla: 1
- Green chilli: 1
- Roasted gram dal: 2-3 TBSP
- Ginger: 1/4 inch
- Garlic cloves: 2-3
- Onion: 1/2
- Lemon juice of half lemon
- Turmeric powder: 1/4 TBSP
- Black pepper powder: 1/4 TBSP
- Cumin seed powder: 1/3 TBSP
- Dry mango powder: 1/2 TBSP
- Fresh coriander
- salt to taste
- minimum water
Blend them well with a minimum amount of water.

- Now take some whole Wheat Bread.
- Apply Green chutney(sauce) on both slices of bread.
- Spread the filling on one slice and cover it with another slice.
- Now take a simple tawa(pan) to cook the sandwich.
- Apply desi ghee on the tawa and cook it on the tawa.
- Cook both sides by applying desi ghee.
